Poem 2

For the most wonderful Grandmother

You were always there, to hold me in your arms, and wrap your love around me. My memories are filled with you, of our gentleness and your wisdom, no pain could not be soothed. By your loving presence, you taught me how I should be, and when at times I lost the way, you were there to comfort me. When my actions hurt me and caused me pain, you were my champion, and all the best of me now was nurtured by your love and care. You are never forgotten, and now I am old you draw nearer: once more I feel that love – bless you my beloved Grandmother.
